REWIRE: Mental Health and Wellbeing for Creative Work
with Support Act Creative work can be inspiring and rewarding, but it can also come with unique pressures. Tight deadlines, financial uncertainty, isolation and the demands of creative practice can all affect our mental health and wellbeing. REWIRE is a practical, engaging workshop designed specifically for people working across Australia's creative industries.

Delivered by Support Act, this 90-minute session builds confidence in talking about mental health, recognising early warning signs of psychological distress and developing strategies to support both yourself and others.

Through discussion, reflection and practical tools, participants will gain a clearer understanding of mental health and wellbeing in creative workplaces and learn how to foster healthier, more supportive creative communities.

Participants will explore:
  • Understanding mental health and psychological wellbeing
  • Recognising common risk factors and warning signs
  • Industry-specific challenges facing creative practitioners
  • Practical self-care and wellbeing strategies
  • How to support colleagues, collaborators and peers
  • Accessing support services and resources when needed
Whether you're a writer, artist, producer, arts worker, freelancer or creative business owner, REWIRE provides practical skills and knowledge to help strengthen wellbeing and resilience in creative practice. About Support Act Support Act is Australia's music and creative industries charity, providing crisis relief, mental health support and wellbeing services to artists, arts workers and creative professionals across the country. Presented as part of Headland Writers Festival 2026.
