CREATIVE MINDS: Sustainable Wellbeing for Creative Work
Creative work can be deeply rewarding, but it can also come with unique challenges. Burnout, self-doubt, isolation and unrealistic expectations can all impact our ability to create, connect and sustain a meaningful practice.
Delivered by Support Act's Dr Ash King, CREATIVE MINDS is an immersive workshop designed for writers, artists, musicians and creative practitioners working across the creative industries.
Combining insights from psychology with lived creative experience, this interactive session explores the relationship between creativity and wellbeing. Participants will engage in reflective exercises, practical tools and evidence-based strategies to strengthen creative thinking, reconnect with purpose and build sustainable approaches to creative work.
Together, we'll explore:
- Common myths and assumptions about creativity
- The relationship between wellbeing and creative practice
- Values-based approaches to creative work
- Strategies for managing self-doubt and creative blocks
- Sustainable habits that support long-term creativity
- Building connection and support within creative communities
Whether you're an emerging writer, established artist, creative freelancer or arts worker, this workshop offers an opportunity to reflect, recharge and develop practical approaches to sustaining your creative life.
